Format: 60 minutes

Delivery: 2019

Broadcaster: CGTN

For over a decade Boko Haram, an Islamist militant group, have wreaked havoc across Nigeria as they attempt to implement Sharia law throughout the region. During this time, over 30,000 people have lost their lives, over 2,000,000 have been forced to flee their homes and thousands of girls and boys have been abducted. Many remain missing. Nigeria’s Lost Generation looks at the fallout of Boko Haram’s rise to power through the lives of three individuals who’s lives have been directly impacted by their reign of terror.

“Nigeria‘s Lost Generation has been the hardest film I have had to make. Spending time with Bukky, Fatima and the other characters was an eye opening and humbling experience. It taught me how powerful the human spirit can be.”
